4) A PLAGUE TALE: INNOCENCE
Ravaged by the Black Death, in the fourteenth century, the kingdom of France and Europe were preparing to lose 30 to 50% of their population. Dark years that serve as historical background to the game A Plague Tale: Innocence is available on consoles and PC.
This new title depicts the escape of the young Amicia, 14, and her little brother Hugo, 5 years old. Children of the Rune Knight, both are actively sought by the soldiers of the Inquisition.
They want to get their hands on the boy, whose very existence hides a secret. It is therefore the death on the heels that the two protagonists will have to venture into the villages and strongholds of the Middle Ages.
Designed by Bordeaux studio Asobo, A Plague Tale is an ambitious video game, both in terms of narrative and its careful execution. Its gameplay is based on the progress of this duo. Depending on their journey, they will survive the invasion of rats responsible for the pandemic ravaging cities and countryside. Above all, the danger will also come from the soldiers and the villagers whom they will cross. In their desperate fugue, Amicia and Hugo will have to rely on each other and develop different strategies to make their way.
We think of The Last of Us (2013) and God of War (2018), two tragic game references featuring a tandem of heroes in search of freedom. By working on the narrative aspect of his work, Asobo manages to reach the hearts of the players, thanks to a mature and inspired story, reinforced by a particularly accomplished artistic direction.

5) SUPER MARIO MAKER 2
It is a building site that can be quietly done at home. Aimed at fans of the little moustached plumber, Super Mario Maker 2, available on Switch, invites them to create their own levels, allowing their imagination to work. A concept that surfs the wave “do it yourself” and offers virtually infinite possibilities for fun. Specifically, SMM2 offers a range of tools to develop from A to Z the game design of the worlds of Mario and Luigi.
